A dental implant is an artificial replacement for the root portion of your natural tooth. It is a titanium screw - a material that is tolerated by bone and integrates well with bone tissue - that is placed into the jaw bone in the location of the missing tooth.
Once the implant has been placed, it is left to heal within the jaw bone; this is where the bone tissue fuses with the outer surface of the implant. It can take from six weeks up to six months approximately., but we find with most of our dental implant cases that the average healing period is around eight weeks. You may be provided with a temporary crown during this healing period until your new, more permanent crown is ready to be fitted.
A single dental implant costs £1,295 and this includes an implant assessment with X-Ray and CT scan and a porcelain crown for your implant. We also offer multiple dental implants starting from £2,995 as well as all-on-4 dental implants, which can provide you with a full arch of teeth through the placement of 4 implants.
